It Sounds Like This...

Terry kept hinting she had a little something
she intended to pop in the mail for me.
She was all funny and mysterious
and i just couldn't imagine what it could be...!
Well, my jaw just dropped
when i opened up this package,
and found a handmade glass flute
created by Terry's brother Scotty,
who is an incredibly gifted glassblower!
Terry said she felt she wanted me to have this flute
and her brother so kindly agreed and
I still cannot believe that you sent this to me...!
Included in the photos above, Terry also sent
that wonderful Mary Oliver poem and two great photos -
it was especially cool seeing you and Scott
playing your accordian and glass flute duet...!
Terry and Scotty, this totally blows my mind...!
Many heartfelt thank you's for such
an incredibly beautiful and precious gift...
i'm as close as i get to speechless...
I've never seen a glass flute in my life.
And it really does sound like glass,
all pristine and sweet and clear....
I had almost as much fun
taking photos of it
as i did playing it...

my sweet son Brian sent these from California
on mothers day...he's an angel.



Poopy's home from California, finally...!



my beautiful children, Brian and Sarah...



it wouldn't be a homecoming without
the infamous father/son piano duet...!



strange things are happening around here...
my drum spontaneously bust open one quiet evening,
and scared the boom boom out of everyone here!



...and the very next day,
my piano decided to move out....!
could this be a message from another realm?



the very heart and soul of the piano,
all vulnerable...and so brave...!



quite a feat to move the piano intact (eventually)
from the basement!
i love these guys and have known them for years...!



but everything is okay
when there's cake....

Yoshi...Waiting...

I just had to bump
those photos of snow.
i've been branded
a lazy blogger,
and i'll have to say
it's so very true.
but i still can't blog
unless i feel like it.

we're dog sitting for Yoshi
who belongs to Sarah and her daddy.
it's been 7 out of about 11 days.
Yoshi is waiting.
waiting for his daddy.
just waiting...
(okay, he's not...)
he was looking out the window
at the birds and squirrels,
planning his chase route...
