Yoshi...Waiting...

I just had to bump
those photos of snow.
i've been branded
a lazy blogger,
and i'll have to say
it's so very true.
but i still can't blog
unless i feel like it.

we're dog sitting for Yoshi
who belongs to Sarah and her daddy.
it's been 7 out of about 11 days.
Yoshi is waiting.
waiting for his daddy.
just waiting...
(okay, he's not...)
he was looking out the window
at the birds and squirrels,
planning his chase route...

Music Loves To Dance...

One of my favourite gigs
in the heat of the summer,
is playing for Martha's dance exercise group
in the park .
Gary, Yuri, lisa,
and special guest and bright light David,
who plays beautiful crystal bowls and gongs,
brought our toys to the park...
we listened to the dancers,
we listened to the park,
we listened to each other,
and played whatever came from all that...

even in winter, dancers gotta dance
and musicians gotta play,
so the NIA class (Google that...!)
meets inside in this beautiful sounding room
to share energies with the musicians yet again...
kindly note the snow
nestled against the window...
but with all that heat in the room,
we barely noticed...

Pumpkin Salad

yay! another last minute creative idea
saves me from ever having to carve
another pumpkin again!

as you can see,
Little Miss I'm Not Too Old To Dress Up For Halloween,
is duly impressed...

...but she soon grows weary
of the photo shoot...

...and tries to distract me
by showing me a sampling
of her very latest nail colour...

...to show my gratitude
i promised to post a photo of her
Smiling Like No One Is Watching...

one should never mess with a menopausal pumpkin...

Lisa Paints a New Layer of History, Kind of...

okay, i posted already...happy?
Poopy wasn't too thrilled initially
with the idea of having his childhood memories
completely covered over
with four nice, new, fresh layers of paint.
i asked him approximately 48 times
would it be okay if i painted his room?
he said no, he loved his room how it was, thanks.
Mama: you love the big sun, the planets,
the moon, the glow in the dark stars, etc?
Poopy: yes, i love it.
Mama: but you were 7 when it was painted....don't you think
you may have outgrown the theme a bit?
Poopy: no, i love the theme. i love my room.
Mama: i know, Poopy, but, this is the 3rd year you haven't really
lived at home....it's not like i got the can of paint out
the minute you got on the airplane and left town....
Poopy: boy, i sure do love my room.
Mama: well, how about if i let you choose a new paint colour,
what colour would you pick for your room?
Poopy: hmmm, let me think...well, i'd choose a big yellow sun,
with blue walls on top and yellow on the bottom
with the moon and stars and planets everywhere....
Mama:

the famous Movie Ticket Wall had to be lovingly dismantled...

even though i look insane in this photo,
i am well aware of the fact that there is
no roller on the end of that pole...

yes, there's no paint on my roller,
and yes, i have gray hair.

the sun's still there, it just got, um...sunnier.

see? the room was so warm and sunny and enticing,
these beautiful young women just couldnt resist
piling onto Poopy's bed
and keeping it warm for him
until his return...
